Origin

I Daughter of Ishgard and Doma.
Born into Ishgard, a result of a frequent romantic rendezvous: an affair. From a Lower noble of House Durendaire, with an overseas Doman trader; Meredith was born. Not aware of the previous and standing commitment her would-be-father had, pressing Meredith's mother to a hard living life, with a child. A loving woman who wouldn't let the world break her, raised the young girl till she became 16, at that age, she was running errands around the Brume, as a small info broker, Meredith found her knack for sneaking around the high town and finding clients for her less than stellar employers. All in the name for her mother.
   II Turning point.
Nothing good ever lasts, nor lingers for long; at 16, Meredith was left alone, her mother passed one evening, succumbing to illness with no gil to aid her. Meredith became discontented, hateful and bitter. Becoming more involved in the underbelly of Ishgard and it's crime, resentful of the authority. These emotions dictated her actions, eventually after taking on more daring jobs, the woman found the attention of an established gang visiting, based in Ul'dah.

   III Within Uldah.
It didn't take long for Meredith to find her place within the gangs of Uldah, it was almost too natural to her; the shimmer of gil or the chance to make big was always too much for her to say no to, she adapted on the fly and quikcly became a valued part of the gangs she ran with, at only 18 summers old. Meredith felt like she had something now, be as it may.
   II II Betrayal.
...Nothing good ever lasts. Meredith would soon find out, at only 19 summers old, she would be the one left to dry, in place of her gang's freedom away from the growing Flames. For her, it seemed impossible to be betrayed, left for dead when such promises were mad, deals were conducted. The woman learned a lot from her gang, and now she was to be abandoned.
Left for dead, in a gambit that was her death most certainly assured, the Hound was left behind, only to fend for herself once again, that fateful shift in her life, when she swore vengeance would mark another turning point in her life.

Much of what happened to the Hound in those early years was only whispered, those within the deep underbelly of Uldah' would have their stories, their own face of the events that took place. Some say the Girl at only 23 summers took over her previous gang by force, procedding every operation it ever had, and took it all within a night, others say she exploited the good will of those within, and used the Flames to her advantage, but nobody truly knows outside of Meredith's inner circle, those who sit aside her in a growing, expansive Empire within Uldah. But how does someone so young keep such matters in order? How does she plug that power vacuum within the shift of her supposedly taking over?

One things certain; The Hound is very much alive and her previous gang has seemingly vanished. Those who approach her may be weary of such topics, and rumours will always spread within the seedy underground of Uldah', to take such things at face value, would be your doom. Something Meredith has learned very quickly. Her story is one of many in Uldah' and one that will echoe through it's streets for generations to come, at the end of the day all that matters in this life is your skill. And some luck.A lot of luck.

Hooks.

Part of the Ul'dah underground?
Plenty of hooks to start with, she has a very well known name, much like the other crime-rings within the seedy underbelly, enjoy the freedom to approach on that.

Are you a Merc, arm for hire, or perhaps someone looking for work to get away from something?Meredith is as lucrative as she's interested in all manner of people and unique skills she can employ.Feel free to find your way to her end of the woods to ply your trade.

Social butterfly, hidden in plain sight.Despite all, Meredith finds herself smartly moving around the social circles of Ul'dah, within the elite, or within the underbelly and it's various meeting spots, find yourself in conversation with her, it can lead anywhere.

The big bad list of stuff I (the muse) tend to avoid.

  • WoL based characters - Within reason, I can get behind it, but mostly I will not engage in it

  • Garleans who are still "loyal" - There's no real reason why a Loyal Garlean is in Uldah, not for me.

  • Meta / Dice Roll warriors - I don't do much fighting RP, and I don't really powerscale, I'm okay with characters' who are strong, but I wont engage with characters that base everything on that.

All of this is just personal and shouldn't be taken badly, I have zero intention on upsetting anyone, but I will keep my space the way I like it, as we all shouldHappy roleplaying <3
